This all-encompassing ocean experience holistically addresses each aspect of well-being. First, the body is scrubbed with freeze-dried seawater crystals and algae-derived alpha hydroxy acid in preparation for a tranquilizing massage. Specific massage techniques, developed by an osteopath, work on tight muscle chains to erase muscle tension. Specific pressure points are also manipulated to rebalance the body's energy flow for a calmly energizing effect. Enjoy all the benefits of cupping. Thought to be a reverse massage, cupping uses suction to pull skin, tissue, and muscles upward. This involves placing a plastic cup on the skin to create a vacuum, suctioning out the air, and allowing the underlying tissue to be raised up into the cup. 

Cupping promotes health and healing by loosening soft tissue, connective tissue, scarring, and adhesions by moving stagnation and increasing lymphatic flow and circulation. It has also been known to increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, remove toxins, and relieve pain.

During the cupping treatment, you will feel a tight sensation, which becomes a relaxing, soothing experience. Cups may be moved around by gliding, shaking, popping, or rotating techniques while gently pulling on the cup OR left in place for a short time to promote joint mobilization or soft tissue release. The cups may stay on your body briefly or for long periods of time. Each treatment is unique to you.

The back is the most common area to be cupped, but this treatment works well on other fleshy parts of the body. Cupping causes the skin to temporarily turn red, blue, or purple, which can last anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.
